Standing
Stringcourse LLC owns no building described here, manages none, is paid by nobody who does, and holds no interest of any kind in one.
Nobody with a stake in a building proposed an entry, paid for one, vetted one or saw one before it went up. No part of this site is advertising and no part of it can be bought.
The one commercial arrangement

That is a material connection and it is disclosed as one: beside the form on the front page, on the fare search, on the paper and in the terms.
Every script these pages load is served from this address and written for this paper. Nothing arrives from a third party, on any page.
What the money does not reach
- What gets written about. The ten entries are about standing in a street in Providence. None is about flying anywhere.
- Where the search sits. One block, on one page, below the subject.
- Airlines. None is named anywhere on this site, in any heading, caption or sentence.
- Prices. No figure of ours appears anywhere. The only numbers a reader sees come out of the search.
Reviews and ratings
None exist here. None has ever been submitted and none was fabricated, which is why the pages carry no scores, no marks out of anything and no tallies.
Why no building is named
Partly editorial: a named building changes hands and changes use, and a paper naming them would be wrong inside two years.
Mostly standing: this paper has no authority to publish a claim about somebody's property, its history or its condition. Where an entry says what a building was for, that is inference from what is visible from public ground, not a survey and not a record. Terms of use says the same for a lawyer, and where the records are shows how to establish the facts about any specific building, free, in an afternoon.
Four things not warranted
- That a building is what we take it for. Every reading is inference from a facade.
- That a building is sound, safe or open. Nobody here has been inside one.
- That any page is current. The review date is the last check, and buildings change faster than two people can walk.
- The search, in every respect. What it returns, the conditions attached, the figures and the reservations all belong to a company that is not this one.
Photographs
All produced for this paper. None is stock and none came from anybody else. Each is described in words that match the finished frame.
None shows a face, a license plate, a name board or a single readable word, and that is on purpose: a paper that declines to name a building has no business printing one by accident.
Corrections
daybook@thecoveregister.com, with the page and the sentence. The page is amended and its review date moves, or an answer explains why it stands. Both usually inside a working day.
